This is a fun little thriller that kept me interested throughout. I love twists, and though the ones here were not hard to figure out, it was still an absorbing and entertaining read. Jane is a young woman with a checkered past. Working as a dog walker in Alabama, she is ensconced in the privileged community of which she is considered a part of the working class. When she becomes involved with one of the residents of this rich community (a good-looking, respected, rich widow named Eddie) Jane rises to become accepted as one of their own. Her new man’s wife has disappeared and is presumed dead. But is the situation surrounding Eddie’s wife’s supposed death as it seems (a rhetorical question, of course) AND is Jane (and the other narrators involved) going to turn out to be a reliable narrator of this tale (also a rhetorical question)?
