Fred and Sheila Merton are a very well-to-do couple living in the upscale New York area of Brecken Hill. One late Easter Sunday night, after their three grown children, their spouses, and their former nanny are guests for the day, Fred and Sheila are brutally murdered in their home. Who did this? Was it Catherine, the oldest daughter, a doctor and a perpetual admirer of the finer things in life and of her parents vast wealth? Was it their son Dan, the black sheep of the family and a bitter ex employee of his father? Was it Jenna, the youngest wild-child artist who can’t seem to settle or make her own living? Was it the nanny who is always cast aside by the family and unappreciated? Or was it possibly one of the spouses who stand to gain huge sums of money upon the death of their in-laws? All involved with this mean and dysfunctional family have reasons to want Fred and Sheila dead. Shari Lapena writes a good whodunnit!
